For my Interactive Design Senior Project, I was tasked in designing and programming a functional website.
My goal was to created a craft sharing website where users can create accounts, upload their own crafts, and favorite ones they enjoy.
This proof-of-concept project utilizes HTML, PHP, CSS, and a SQL database to create a front-end system that altogether creates a simple sharing site.
Because this was my senior project, I created this website from scratch with no use of any website builders. The help I got in completing this project came in the form of professor assistance and youtube tutorials to help refresh myself on concepts that I was rusty on.
The Crafting Barrel utilizes HTML as the structural base of the website.
The programming language PHP was used to get and send data from the databases to the webpages.
A website should be cohesive in itself style across its various pages. The creation of a style tile helped keep everything together.
Also known as "Structured Query Language", mySQL was the databased used to host all the data collected by users.
